Rider Physiotherapy
Asymmetries, imbalances/weaknesses, stiffness and pain affect our function and performance, also impacting that of the horse; vice versa.
Harmonious movement between horse and rider is key to optimising performance. The ability of the rider to control and coordinate their movements whilst absorbing the forces from the horse is crucial in achieving a good seat. Any pain/injury/weakness we have hinders this ability, leading to compensations that affect the quality of our ridden aids and balance, further inhibiting the horses’ movement and performance.
As a Chartered Physiotherapist, Beth is able to assess and treat both horse and rider, understanding the significance, interaction and influence of each biomechanical component. By optimising your strength, symmetry and technique, you elevate your partnership and well-being as a whole with your horse.
Whether you have a specific musculoskeletal condition/injury, or just want to improve your technique and performance in the saddle, Beth’s bespoke physiotherapy service is here to help.
